Jayne Hubbard - Director/Educator

Jayne Hubbard (She/They) is a stage and film director based in Seattle, WA. Theatre credits include Violet, the Musical (Seattle Pacific University Main Stage), Hold These Truths (NEA Big Read and the Renton Library), Buying a Brassiere (Seattle Pacific University Directing Projects), Macbeth (Asst. Dir. Seattle Shakespeare Company Camp Bill) amongst others. Film credits include Assistant Directing (AD) feature length film Inferno, ADing short film Self Abandonment, and ADing self written short film entitled Your Broom

Jayne is a freelance theatre educator. They teach with Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and Taproot Theatre Company. They specialize in text work, creating characters, audition technique, viewpoints, imagination exploration, and physical theatre with ages 5-18. As a queer teaching artist, Jayne believes that every classroom is a place for embracing risk and vulnerability while maintaining physical and emotional safety.
